Young talents from diverse corners of the nation are set to immerse themselves in a high-performance realm during the upcoming National Performance Camp. Basketball Australia has unveiled the roster of emerging athletes slated to participate in the event, scheduled to be held from January 22 to 25, 2024, at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Canberra.

This intensive four-day camp, under the guidance of Basketball Australia CoE Women’s and Men’s head coaches, serves as a platform for these budding athletes to not only refine their skills but also engage in competitive exchanges alongside peers from across the country. Peter Lonergan, the Director of HP Coach Development, eagerly anticipates offering these aspiring athletes exposure to a robust high-performance setting.

“The National Performance Camp stands as a pivotal component within Basketball Australia’s pathway. Over the past four decades, this camp has witnessed the emergence of numerous Opals and Boomers, and we are enthusiastic about welcoming the potential stars of tomorrow in January,” expressed Lonergan.

Throughout the camp’s duration, the athletes will be actively involved in a comprehensive program comprising on-court training, dedicated recovery sessions, and educational modules. This immersive experience, coupled with on-site residency for the duration of the camp, aims to nurture and refine the skills of these promising athletes.
