The Board of Directors was delighted to bestow Neil Dalrymple with Life Membership of the Confederation of Australian Sport at the 2025 Annual General Meeting held in Canberra on 20 October.
Neil has worked or volunteered at every level of Australian Sport having served as CEO of Bowls Australia for 15 years, CEO of Softball Australia, CEO NT Cricket and in roles with Cricket Australia over the past 3 decades. In December 2022 Neil was appointed as CEO of World Bowls – a position he currently holds.

He deeply engaged in strengthening the relationships between BA and each of the State and Territory Associations, as well as relationships with other key partners, such as the Australian Sports Commission and World Bowls.
Under Neil’s leadership, BA has expertly managed the continued improvement of Australia’s elite bowler squads, culminating in Australia’s Jackeroos’ most successful performance to date at the World Bowls Championships in 2016 – and standout results at the 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games.
During his tenure at BA, Neil spearheaded numerous innovative strategic and operational changes in the organisation. Neil’s focused on the ongoing sustainability and vitality of the sport of Bowls, both in Australia and internationally.
Neil has been a staunch supporter of the work of CAS and has served as a Member of the CAS Board since 2009.
